Prestressed Concrete Lintels 100x65mm x 2400mm

The Prestressed Concrete Lintel 100x65mm x 2400mm is a high-strength structural component designed to provide reliable load support above doorways, windows, and other openings in masonry construction. Manufactured from durable prestressed concrete, this lintel offers exceptional load-bearing capability and long-term structural integrity, making it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial building projects.

Product Features / Specifications:

Precision-manufactured for consistent quality, this lintel features a robust concrete construction reinforced through prestressing technology. Its compact 100mm x 65mm profile allows for easy installation while maintaining the strength required to support masonry loads. The lintel’s clean, straight edges ensure a professional finish and accurate placement within brick or blockwork.

Detailed Product Benefits:

Prestressed concrete lintels are engineered using high-tensile steel strands that are tensioned before the concrete is cast. This process introduces compressive forces within the concrete, significantly improving the lintel’s structural performance and resistance to cracking under load.

The 2400mm span provides effective support for wider openings while maintaining structural stability and durability. The prestressing method not only increases load-bearing capacity but also reduces deflection, ensuring long-term reliability in structural applications.

Additionally, concrete lintels offer excellent fire resistance, weather durability, and resistance to rot or corrosion compared to alternative materials. This makes them a dependable structural solution suitable for modern construction standards.

Applications and Versatility:

The 100x65mm x 2400mm prestressed lintel is widely used in brick and block construction to support masonry loads above structural openings. Typical applications include:

  • Window openings in external and internal walls
  • Doorway support in residential and commercial buildings
  • Garage and utility openings
  • Load-bearing masonry walls

Its strength and durability also make it suitable for both new-build developments and renovation projects where dependable structural support is essential.
