Product Title: Hydraulic Lime NHL3.5 25kg Bag – Lafarge Cruas

The Lafarge Cruas Hydraulic Lime NHL3.5 (25kg) is a premium-grade, natural hydraulic lime designed for use in a wide variety of traditional and modern construction applications. Known for its high quality and consistent performance, this lime is ideal for masonry, plastering, and rendering where breathability and durability are essential.

Product Features/Specifications:

A fine, off-white powder, Lafarge Cruas NHL3.5 is composed of natural limestone with minimal additives, providing excellent workability and long-lasting results. Its moderate strength classification makes it suitable for general-purpose construction while remaining gentle enough for heritage projects.

Detailed Product Benefits:

This NHL3.5 hydraulic lime offers an optimal balance of strength and flexibility. It sets through a combination of hydraulic and carbonation processes, ensuring a durable bond with improved breathability. Unlike cement-based mortars, it reduces moisture trapping, helping to preserve the health and longevity of structures, particularly in conservation and eco-build projects. Its natural properties also make it more environmentally friendly, with reduced embodied energy during production.

Applications and Versatility:

Lafarge Cruas NHL3.5** is ideal for:

  • Restoration and conservation of historic and listed buildings
  • Lime rendering on internal and external walls
  • General masonry and bedding of bricks, blocks, and stone
  • Sustainable building projects requiring a breathable material
  • Environments where movement or thermal variation is a concern, due to its flexibility

Its versatility ensures excellent performance in both heritage and new-build applications.

Features & Benefits List:

  • Natural hydraulic lime (NHL3.5) – ideal for general building use
  • Excellent workability and smooth finish
  • Allows walls to "breathe" – reducing trapped moisture
  • Suitable for internal and external applications
  • Compatible with historic materials and construction methods
  • Environmentally responsible alternative to cement
  • Improved flexibility and resistance to cracking

Technical Specifications:

  • Product Type: Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL)
  • Strength Classification: NHL3.5 (moderate strength)
