75 x 225mm Sawn Carcassing 9x3 Dry Graded C24

Engineered for strength and reliability, the 75 x 225mm Sawn Carcassing 9x3 Dry Graded C24 timber is a high-quality structural wood ideal for demanding construction projects. Manufactured from premium softwood and kiln-dried for stability, this carcassing timber meets the C24 strength grade—making it suitable for load-bearing and critical framing applications.

Product Features/Specifications:

This carcassing timber boasts a robust 75mm x 225mm profile (commonly referred to as 9x3), precision sawn and kiln-dried to reduce movement and enhance durability. It is C24-graded, meaning it's been visually and machine-assessed to offer high structural performance, and is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Detailed Product Benefits:

The dry graded C24 carcassing timber offers excellent dimensional stability, which minimizes the risk of warping, splitting, or shrinking—ideal for long-term structural integrity. The C24 grading ensures greater bending strength and stiffness compared to standard C16 alternatives, making it suitable for heavier structural loads in construction. Its kiln-dried treatment not only reduces moisture content for a cleaner, lighter product but also improves compatibility with modern fixings and treatments.

Applications and Versatility:

Widely used across residential, commercial, and industrial builds, this timber is perfect for roof joists, wall plates, floor joists, rafters, and other structural framing elements. It also adapts well to decking subframes and garden structures, offering both strength and resilience in external applications when treated accordingly. While primarily functional, its smooth sawn finish also allows for aesthetic adaptations when needed.

Features & Benefits List:

  • C24 Structural Grade – Higher strength and stiffness for demanding applications
  • Kiln-Dried – Reduced moisture content for better dimensional stability
  • Sawn Finish – Ready for structural use, planed if required
  • Heavy-Duty Profile – 75mm x 225mm for enhanced load-bearing capacity
  • Responsibly Sourced Timber – FSC® or PEFC certified supply chains
  • Suitable for Internal and External Use – Can be treated for outdoor longevity

Technical Specifications:
