7 x 225 mm Treated Carcassing Dry Graded C24 9x2

Our 47 x 225 mm Treated Carcassing Dry Graded C24 9x2 timber is a premium-quality structural softwood, kiln-dried and pressure-treated for enhanced durability. Ideal for heavy-duty construction and framing projects, this robust timber is a reliable choice for builders seeking strength, consistency, and long-term performance.

Product Features/Specifications:

Crafted from slow-grown softwood, this carcassing timber features a planed finish with rounded edges for safer handling. It’s C24 strength-graded for structural integrity and pressure-treated to guard against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack—making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Detailed Product Benefits:

C24 grading ensures that this timber meets stringent structural performance standards, offering greater load-bearing capacity than lower grades. Kiln-drying reduces moisture content for increased stability, minimising the risk of twisting or warping over time. The pressure treatment penetrates deep into the grain, extending the lifespan of the timber even in damp or exposed environments. Its uniform sizing and smooth finish allow for easier cutting, fixing, and finishing, making it ideal for professional-grade construction work.

Applications and Versatility:

This 9x2 carcassing timber is a staple for a wide range of structural applications. Common uses include floor and roof joists, studwork, decking frames, and general load-bearing construction. Thanks to its treatment and strength rating, it’s equally at home in external landscaping builds such as pergolas, garden structures, and raised beds. Its versatile profile also makes it suitable for use in bespoke joinery projects where structural strength and stability are key.

Features & Benefits List:

  • C24 Strength Graded: Suitable for structural applications with higher load demands
  • Pressure Treated: Long-lasting protection against rot, decay, and insects
