At Emerys Builders Merchants, we supply top-grade structural timber tailored for strength, reliability, and versatility. Our 47 x 225 mm Sawn Carcassing 9x2 Long Lengths C24 timber is ideal for heavy-duty structural applications, combining durability with high load-bearing capacity to meet the demands of modern construction.

Product Features/Specifications:

  • Size: 47 mm x 225 mm (Nominal)
  •  Strength Grade: C24
  •  Treated or Untreated options available
  •  Sawn finish for ease of handling and on-site cutting
  •  Supplied in long lengths, ideal for larger spans
  • Responsibly sourced from sustainably managed forests

Detailed Product Benefits:

Engineered to deliver exceptional structural performance, our C24-graded carcassing timber undergoes stringent strength and moisture testing, making it suitable for load-bearing applications. The C24 grading signifies superior strength, reduced knot frequency, and increased durability compared to C16 timber. This results in longer spans and fewer support points, reducing installation time and overall material cost.

Each piece is precision sawn, allowing for consistent dimensions and smooth handling during installation. Whether used in floor joists, roof rafters, or stud walls, this timber provides reliable support, resisting warping and splitting over time—even in demanding environments.

Applications and Versatility:

This carcassing timber is highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of structural applications in both residential and commercial construction:

  • Roof framing and rafters
  • Floor joists and decking substructures
  • Wall partitions and studwork
  • General structural frameworks
  • Extensions, loft conversions, and timber frame buildings

Aesthetically, it can be used in visible construction where a natural wood finish is desired, particularly when stained or painted. Its structural grade also makes it ideal for custom joinery and carpentry where strength is paramount.

Features & Benefits List:

  • C24 Strength Grade: Higher strength and fewer defects than standard grades
  •  Long Lenghs: 6m Ideal for extended spans with minimal joints
  • Dimensional Stability: Reduced risk of warping or twisting
  • Versatile Usage: Suitable for numerous construction tasks
  • Sustainably Sourced: Environmentally responsible timber
  • Easy to Work With: Straight sawn edges for clean cutting and fixing

Technical Specifications:

  • Width: 225 mm
  • Thickness: 47 mm
  • Grade: C24
