Detailed Product Benefits:

Our 25 x 50 mm Blue Tile Batten is manufactured in strict accordance with BS5534—the British Standard for roofing battens—ensuring consistent quality and structural performance. Each batten undergoes rigorous grading and pressure treatment, enhancing its resistance to fungal decay and insect attack. The blue tint not only aids visual recognition but also indicates the timber’s treated status, streamlining site inspections and compliance checks.

With precise sizing and minimal warping, these battens ensure straight runs, uniform tile spacing, and improved fixings, all of which contribute to faster, safer installations and reduced on-site adjustments. The kiln-drying process maintains optimal moisture content, preventing shrinkage or distortion once in place, even under changing weather conditions.

Applications and Versatility:

This batten is purpose-built for pitched roof applications where tile support and fixings are critical. Suitable for a wide range of roofing types, including clay and concrete tiles, it also performs excellently in modern and heritage roofing systems.

Beyond traditional roofing, these battens can also be used for supporting breathable membranes, constructing vertical tile hanging systems, or creating secure counter-batten frameworks in ventilated roof constructions. Their durability makes them suitable for long-term use in both domestic and commercial settings.
